A Message from our Head of School
As we begin our 6th year at GRACEPOINT I continue to be overwhelmed by the blessings God continues to provide. We welcome 36 new students to our GRACEPOINT family this year and look forward to getting to know each and every one of them. Our steady growth has now brought us to an enrollment of 109 students at the start of our 2017-18 school year.
As a result of this growth, several building improvements and renovations took place this summer. These changes allow us to continue to provide a comfortable, safe and welcoming environment for our students to learn while maintaining our low teacher-student ratios. Our tech lab has been transformed into our new STEAM Idea Lab and our music/drama room is now located in the former library. The library has moved to the 2nd floor. Our elevator is now in complete working order and a new video security system has been installed. An outdoor classroom and chapel are under construction. This area also includes an obstacle course and outdoor fitness stations.
All of the these changes and improvements would not be possible without the continuing generosity and support from our parents, staff and community.
While changes were happening at our facility, our faculty and staff devoted time over the summer to sharpen their teaching and leadership skills in order to best serve our students. GRACEPOINT hosted several staff development trainings this summer and many of our teachers took classes on other campuses as well. Some traveled as far as Buffalo, NY for training and to meet with other schools specializing in dyslexia from all over the country.
I am so thankful God has placed me in a position to serve GRACEPOINT school. Jon Gordon writes, abundance flows into our lives when gratitude flows from our hearts. Please know my heart overflows with gratitude and joy received from my trust in Christ who strengthens me.
With sincere gratitude,
Head of School
