This week in Language Arts Week of February 22, 2016
We are continuing to read the novel, A Long Walk to Water. In addition to reading the novel, many literary, grammar, and writing components are being integrated as they read.
Primary Focus/Objectives: -Reading for Comprehension -Reading for Main Idea -Differentiating between Important Facts and Supporting Details -Identifying Literary Elements within Novel -Identifying and Applying Sentence Types in their written work -Expanding Sentences -Improving written responses in order to remain on topic -Parts of Speech as it applies to written work -Pronouns
We will have a Quiz, Friday, 2/26/16. The quiz will cover Chapter 7-9 in A Long Walk to Water, as well as Sentence Structure, Parts of Speech, and Subjects/Predicates.
