Week of 10/5-10/9

3rd Grade-

We had so much fun Friday playing multiplication squares! Ask your child to explain the game! They have been working hard these past few weeks as we've been learning more and more about multiplication and division, and how they are related. We will finish up our 2nd unit on Monday, play a review game on Tuesday, and have a test on Wednesday. I am looking forward to bragging on them about how hard they've been working in our upcoming conferences!

6th Grade-

The 6th graders have really turned on their thinking caps as we've been learning about fractions, decimals, and percents! They come to class every day eager to learn and willing to work hard! We will finish up learning about percents this week. This will conclude unit 2. After conferences, we will review all of the unit 2 concepts and have a unit 2 test on Friday, 10/9. I'm looking forward to our student-led conferences next week! I know you will be so proud to hear how hard they've been working!

7th Grade-

The 7th graders have been working hard to master the concepts pertaining to ratios and proportional relationships! Ask them to tell you what it means to find the slope! Rise over _? =) We are halfway through unit 2 and will have a Chapter 1 test on Monday. After conferences, we will finish up unit 2 by learning about percents. We will learn about interest, tax, markups and markdowns, gratuities, commissions, and fees. I'm excited for the 7th graders to lead their upcoming conferences and show you all about what we've been learning!
