Amy Benton, Middle School Teacher
Amy Benton joins GRACEPOINT School as a 5th grade homeroom teacher teaching reading, 5th grade math, 5th grade and 6th grade language arts. Amy earned a psychology degree at The University of Georgia, a Bachelor of Science in Education at Georgia Southern University, and a Masters of Education in Inclusive Education at Kennesaw State University. She taught students with disabilities in high school and elementary for the past twelve years. Amy is trained by the Academy in the Orton-Gillingham methodology and has earned a Reading Endorsement. She is also trained in the Highly Effective Teaching Method of a Brain-Based Classroom. Amy and her daughter attend Due West United Methodist Church in Marietta. She enjoys volunteering with the Seven Bridges to Recovery Ministry.
