- Independent Novel Study: We continue to build reading and writing skills through the use of Reading Strategies. We will culminate the Novel Study next week.

- Whole Group Novel Study: My Side of the Mountain: Next Week, we will introduce the whole group novel study through a series of lessons which will center on the assessment of the student background knowledge. We will begin reading the novel when the students return from Fall Break.

- Independent Novel Study - **Students may choose a book to read from the Middle School Reading List; all written responses are to be based on these books.

- Students will write 2 to 3 Written Responses Weekly
