Amy Benton serves GRACEPOINT School as a Middle School teacher and math department head teaching Reading, Morphology, and 8th grade math. Amy earned a psychology degree at The University of Georgia, a Bachelor of Science in Education at Georgia Southern University, and a Masters of Education in Inclusive Education at Kennesaw State University. She taught students with disabilities in elementary, middle and high school for the past nineteen years. Amy is classroom certified by the Academy in the Orton-Gillingham methodology and has earned a Reading Endorsement. She is also trained in the Highly Effective Teaching Method of a Brain-Based Classroom. She incorporates music, movement, and chants to her lessons for retention as well as making learning fun! Most importantly, Ms. Benton infuses her love of God into her everyday teaching by loving each student and helping them to be successful.
