Mrs. Nix has 30 plus years of experience spanning Kindergarten, elementary grades, middle school, and adjunct professor at Shorter University, as well as a middle school administrator for 12 years. She is a graduate of Carson Newman College in elementary education and holds dual masters from Liberty University in Christian Leadership and Religious Education. Mrs. Nix is Orton-Gillingham Classroom Teacher certified, Woodin Math trained, ArtsNOW certified, and a Google Certified Educator.

Middle School students hold a special place in Mrs. Nix’s heart. This can be a daunting time for students and parents. The heart of a middle school student is one that is pliable to the Word of the Lord and their desire to serve others is immeasurable. This alone would be reason enough to draw a teacher to a group of students. However, their humor, stretching of their wings, and thirst for independence are what intrigues and attracts Mrs. Nix to this unique season of a student’s life.

Mrs. Nix lives in Powder Springs with her husband, Jon, and her chocolate Labrador, Moose. Mrs. Nix spends most of her free time painting for her art business and hanging out with family.
