9-4-18

Last week, the students enjoyed examining soil samples and determining which had the largest particle size.

This week, we will investigate soil capacity to hold water and focus on the Scientific Method.

8-27-18

Last week, the class learned about the layers of the earth. The class made and labeled a diagram of the inside of the earth. The outer layer (crust) is very thin compared to the other layers. We will now focus on the crust of the earth and delve into our study of soil, minerals, and rocks.
This week...
Students will compare different types of soil (sand, silt, and clay) which are categorized by the size of their grains.

8-19-18

I am delighted to be your child's science teacher.  This week, we discussed what it means to be a scientist and had fun doing activities with water to learn about the properties of water.

Our focus of study next week is soil.
