GRACEPOINT School 2023-24 Parent Volunteer Descriptions
Annual Fund Committee
Help encourage parent participation during our annual fund campaign, typically two weeks in October. Brainstorm with the annual fund team ideas to keep participation at the highest level in one meeting.
Dyslexia Dash
Help manage GRACEPOINT School’s table at the Dyslexia Dash on the morning of October 21, 2023, including sorting t-shirts, setting up the table and giveaways, distributing t-shirts, welcoming families, and greeting visitors to our tent.
Fall Festival Committee
Help plan and execute the Fall Festival, an outdoor carnival-type fun family event. Time includes two planning meetings during the school day to brainstorm ideas, encourage parents to attend and volunteer, help set up or work a station at the event on November 10, 2023.
Field Day
Help staff field day stations, distribute snacks and lunch, and apply first aid for field day on May 10, 2024.
House Time: Monthly Service Day
Help set up and coordinate House time service projects once a month on Friday afternoon. This could include leading a station.
GA Goal Committee
Help encourage current and alumni families and businesses to direct their state taxes to GA Goal for GRACEPOINT School for financial aid. Write personal thank you notes to participants. Meet with the GA Goal team to brainstorm new ways to increase participation (one meeting).
Giddy Up Fundraiser Committee
Help encourage participation during our Giddy-Up GRACEPOINT campaign to provide financial aid in the spring. Brainstorm with the Giddy-Up team about ideas for student prizes, new ideas to increase giving, and the obstacle course (two to three meetings). Volunteer to distribute prizes to students during lunch. Volunteer to set up and serve at a station during the Giddy-Up obstacle course on field day May 10, 2024.
