Mrs. Smith

Amy Smith joined the GRACEPOINT community in 2023 when her daughter began attending the school. She currently serves in the Middle School teaching Morphology, 6th grade Language Arts, and Executive Functioning. Mrs. Smith has over 20 years of teaching experience in both public and private schools where she has worked with children in 5th - 8th grade. She attended Kennesaw State University where she earned undergraduate degrees in English and English Education. During her years of serving as an educator, she has earned her Gifted Endorsement and Special Education Certification. She has been trained in The Complete Reading Series, and she is an Orton-Gillingham Classroom Certified Teacher. Amy and her husband live in Marietta with their daughter and their dog. In addition to worshiping and serving together at their church, they enjoy traveling, spending time with extended family, and playing games together. Her life verse is Deuteronomy 31:8 -- "For the Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
