Gary Austin
As Director of Facilities, Gary Austin is dedicated to keeping GRACEPOINT’s campus a safe, vibrant, and welcoming place where students can learn and grow. After decades of technology innovation in the electronic payments and healthcare industries, and healthcare program development designed for patients and their families, Gary was thrilled to join the GRACEPOINT family. For him, caring for our school facilities is far more than a job; it is a true joy and daily ministry. Gary’s passion for encouraging young people runs deep. Before coming to GRACEPOINT, he spent 30 years as a youth discipleship leader for middle and high school young men. A firm believer in the power of prayer and God's healing grace, Gary has seen the Lord work extraordinary miracles in his own family's life through times of both deep trial and mountain-top joy. Today, Gary and his wife actively serve their community through short-term missions, ministry, and healing prayer.
Gary and his wife, Reva, have been happily married for 51 years. They are blessed with a large, wonderfully noisy family that includes 6 children, 22 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. When he isn't on campus, Gary loves spending time with his family, hiking, fishing, enjoying good music, and living out his favorite scripture passage:
“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one. I in them and you in me, so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.” John 17:20-26.
