Mr. Mencias

Kevin Mencias brings a wealth of ministry and educational experience to GRACEPOINT, backed by a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies and Communication from Liberty University and a Certificate of Communication from Bakersfield College. His professional background spans a decade in middle school ministry leading youth groups and mentoring students, alongside five years as a teacher’s aide and paraprofessional supporting diverse learning needs from preschool to high school. Additionally, Kevin has served as an on-campus Bible study leader with Youth for Christ and a guest speaker for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

At the heart of Kevin’s teaching philosophy is a commitment to building relational, intentional connections that help students grow closer to Christ and each other. He strives to make Scripture engaging, reliable, and practical, transforming Bible class into an applicable life experience rather than just an academic subject. Driven by his own life-changing encounter with the Gospel as a high school junior, Kevin felt a clear call to step into his role at GRACEPOINT to provide pastoral care, serve as a male mentor, and ensure every student feels genuinely cared for and loved by God.

Outside the classroom, Kevin shares his life with his wife, Cassidy, and their two young children, Emersyn and Maddox. The family enjoys going to Disney World, exploring new restaurants, visiting the beach, and embarking on cross-country road trips. In his free time, Kevin stays active by hitting the gym, cheering on the San Francisco 49ers, and engaging with his church community. His life and ministry remain firmly anchored in his favorite passage, Proverbs 3:5–6, which continually points him back to God’s sovereignty and faithfulness.
