Mrs. Brabbs
Lisa Brabbs has been a teacher at GRACEPOINT School since 2017, serving in 2nd and currently 4th grade. A Michigan native, Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Eastern Michigan University and a Master's of Arts in Learning Disabilities from Madonna University. She is also a certified Orton-Gillingham Classroom Educator. Before moving to Georgia in 2017, Lisa taught in public and private settings in California, Michigan, and Florida, including 2nd-5th grade in a Resource Room for students with learning difficulties and in a 2nd-grade Regular Education classroom. In addition, Lisa has taught in grades 2nd-8th, which allows her to understand where her students are coming from and where they need to go.Lisa and her husband, Rick, have been married for 33 years and are the proud parents of three and grandparents of two lovely granddaughters. In her free time, Lisa loves traveling the world, reading, walking, watching movies, playing games, and most of all, spending time with family. Lisa is also honored to be part of the GRACEPOINT family, where it is a joy and a privilege to teach our amazing dyslexic students to find their superpower, just the way God created them!
