Reviewing E Dropping

This week we reviewed the e dropping rule. If a word ends in a magic e and the suffix begins with a vowel, then you've got to "DROP THAT E"! Keep in mind that this applies in not only spelling correctly but reading. This can be challenging. For example, "hiding" is "hide" + "ing", not "hid"+ "ing". (This involves the 1-1-1 Doubling Rule). The students did a great job and on Friday we building E Dropping Towers and conquered them! That's what we are doing in the attached video. Next week we will review some other skills. I hope that you will all have a wonderful Christmas Break with lots of family time, rest, and fun! Although there won't be any homework over the break, please have your student read for 20 minutes every day. See you in 2019!!
