Morphology 2 (Period 3)

Posts

Week of April 20-24

Hello families,

Only 4 weeks to go :) I am so thankful for the partnership with all of you to give your students the best possible education during this time of distance learning. I wanted to make sure you are all aware of how to best contact me during distance learning and when I'm available.

Office hours: Monday-Thursday 1 pm - 3 pm by appointment
I am also available to help during class time if we are NOT Zooming.

I am checking my email continuously throughout the day and will usually get back to you within the hour. Please keep in mind that I have classes all morning and many days we are Zooming, so I won't be available until after 1 pm. I am here to help, so if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me.

Have a great week!

Week of April 13-17

I hope you had a relaxing spring break and Easter!

Your children have done a great job with our daily Zoom classes. As we move into the next phase of on-line learning, please remind them to log in promptly as we have full days of lessons and it is difficult to get started with out all students.

The students should continue to read for 30 minutes daily, review morphology cards and complete the assigned Freckle article.

Thank you for all of your support from home!

Week of March 30 - April 3

Hello families,

Well, we have 2 weeks under our belts! I appreciate your partnership in having your students ready for learning each day. The new link for Zoom is posted in Google Classroom.

Reminders that the students homework has not changed for reading/morphology since we have moved to virtual learning. They should be reading for 30 minutes per day, reviewing their morphology cards and completing one Freckle assignment each week. There are quite a few students who need to catch-up on their Freckle assignments. Please encourage your child to complete these assignments. If you have any questions, please let me know.

One more week and we have Spring Break!

Week of March 23-27

Hello Families!

I have posted the rough schedule for the week on Google Classroom. Please understand that Monday and Tuesday are accurate, but each day following might need to be updated after each day's lesson.

I want you all to know that I am praying and thinking of each child and family. I know this is a strange time, but I hope this bit of normalcy has been helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me at [email protected]

Blessings and virtual hugs!

Hello and thank you!

Hello families!

Thank you for helping your child get connected to class this week so far! Your positive outlook and support has meant the world to me as we start to settle into our new normal (for now). It has been great seeing the students and continuing our studies.

I'm sure you have been a bit overwhelmed, but I'm so impressed on how the students are taking charge of their learning. Since they are in middle school and learning how to take responsibility of their learning, please encourage them to check Google Classroom for their assignments and don't feel like you need to keep it all straight. I am updating Google Classroom daily, especially for math, because I am still basing my lessons on the prior days' learning. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. If your child doesn't "attend" class as scheduled, I will contact you, if I don't hear from you first. I truly see this all as a great opportunity to build their independence and advocacy skills.

Blessings!

Instructions for Virtual Learning

Hi families,

I sent out an email this morning with specific instructions for your classes with me. If you didn't receive this email, please let me know at [email protected]

The most up-to-date information for lessons will be on Google Classroom. Because I will still be diagnostic and prescriptive, I won't know if math classes will have a ZOOM lesson the next day until I see how the students are doing. Morphology Lessons will be daily at their normal class time.

If you have any questions, please let me know.
Blessings to all!
