Math: Planning an epic pool party! Students were given a budget of $75 to plan a pool party for their friends! They were given a list of items and prices. In pairs or groups of three, they worked together to plan a pool party, choosing what they would have at their party, adding up the prices, and being sure not to go over budget.
Today we wrote something we accomplished that made us feel proud of ourselves on a banner to hang outside of our classroom for the next week! I am extremely proud of this class for all their hard work and progress during their first grade year and first year at GRACEPOINT!

Tuesday Writing: First Grade is FLOATING into summer! We wrote two sentences about summer time and then created a pool float to go with it.
Waffles is beach ready! This time he remembered some sunblock!
