March Madness!

Yesterday we began our March Madness: Picture book addition! We read The True Story of the Three Little Pigs and Red Riding Hood. Of the two, the unanimous winner in our class for favorite book was The True Story of the Three Little Pigs !  Today, we will be reading Dooby Dooby Moo and Click, Clack Moo: Cows that Type! Who will rein supreme in this match up?!

Some other match ups that will be competing in the next few days are:
The Good Egg vs. The Bad Seed
What do you do with a Problem vs. What do you do with an Idea
The Day the Crayons Quit vs. The Day the Crayons came Home
The Library Dragon vs. The Return of the Library Dragon
Bedtime for Batman vs Bedtime for Frances
Pirates don't Change Diapers vs. How I became a Pirate

I can't wait to see who the ultimate winner will be!

Conference Days Review Work

Parents,

Next Monday and Tuesday, while your students are at home, we are going to be assigning review work that must be completed each day. This is so the days can be counted as school days!

Your student will have two Seesaw assignments to complete each day. One math review and one writing/grammar review.

Seesaw assignments will be available starting at 8:15am on the day they are assigned. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Reminder: tomorrow is a 12:00 noon dismissal. No lunch tomorrow!

Have a great end to your week,

Ms. B

Happy Wednesday!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far!

This week we have been focusing on Dr. Suess. His birthday was yesterday. We have read many of his books and based our writing prompts off of them the past few days. We have also looked into his life and career during social studies time. We have completed art projects and directive drawings based on his work as well.

In math, we have finished our study of comparing numbers! They have done great with this concept.

Please remember to practice red words and read from your child's blue reading folder each night. There is no Seesaw homework the next few weeks, instead, complete the "ABC book project." It is due by March 19! Your child should write at least one word per letter of the alphabet (with assistance from you in spelling) and draw a picture to match it. They may write more than one word or a sentence if they wish!

Friday is a 12:00 dismissal. There will be no lunch time, but we will have snack. There is no school on Monday or Tuesday next week due to parent teacher conferences on Zoom. You received an email from me on Monday containing the Zoom meeting link and your scheduled meeting time. Please remember we will be using the waiting room feature, so do not worry if you are not let in right away, this means we are finishing up the conference before yours. :)

Next Friday's fun lunch is Pizza Hut and Wednesday will be late start (9:15 start time).

I look forward to seeing and speaking with you all next week about your amazing children!

Thank you,

Ms. Barber
